Club Activites and Events
The main focus of the club is obviously on playing Gaelic Football. This includes the training of teams and their prepartion for competitions. However the club itself is involved with other activites on and off the field.
The Club has over 450 members. Many are players but others are supporters, officers and regular members.
Each year a club social takes place in February / March to bring together all members of the club in a social scene. The previous year's exploits are celebrated and everyone looks forward to the start of another year.
Other activites include :
- An annual Juvenile Medal Presentation night
- Scor, Irish music and dance
- Trips for teams to tournaments and days/evenings/weekends away
- Participation in the Community Games under the Claregalway/Lackagh team
- Summer Camp held in July
In the past trips away have included activity weekends, trips to All-Ireland games, invitational tournaments and a trips to an Ice rink. All the aims of the GAA including Promotion of use of Gaelige and Irish culture
To promote the club, the Club PRO(s) have weekly notices in the Tuam Hearld, monthly articles in the Nuacht Chlair, an Annual, and of course this website.
