Tables are €40 each, lots of prizes for the winners, raffle and fun on the night. Our MC on the night will be Hector Ó’Heochagain.  Your support would be much appreciated. The Club encourages you to organise a team of 4 and come along on the night or come along on your own and we will make up teams on the night. The Club wishes to thank sponsor JBM Merit for their support towards this event.

Claregalway Handball Club were successful in the latest round of Sports Capital Grants in which they were awarded €95,000 in grant funding. The funding has arisen out of an application to build a new 40x20 court, dressing room, gym, spectator stand and an outdoor one wall court in the village of Claregalway. A site was acquired from the local GAA club and full planning permission has already been granted. The club which is 41 years old this year erected a one wall court in the local community centre which is on the same site as the new plans. This will provide much needed handball facilities to the growing population of the village and parish. The clubs juvenile membership has been steadily growing over the past few years along with the standard of players and this year had ultimate success as Niamh Heffernan captured four gold medals at the worlds and two Nationals titles. The club is powered by an active committee, along with enthusiastic coaches and of course parents who are willing to get involved. The clubs main coach Tommy Duggan has explained "Access to a court with full glass back wall and spectator stands are essential for players to progress, offers spectators a chance to see the game played at it's best and the bright inviting court will encourage newer players to join." The club has sufficient funds to commence the project so once all paperwork is in place they hope to start inside the next few months and look forward to the challenge ahead.
